After breakfast move for sightseeing covering
Golden Temple-the holy scripture is brought in
a vivid procession from the Akal Takhat (the highest
temporal seat of the Sikhs) in the morning to the temple
to be returned at night. Singing is central to Sikh
worship & is a feast to the souls when hymns from
the holy scripture are recited Kirtan and the waves
of the classical ragas, a sublim blend of voice &
music.
Jallianwala Bagh-the historic site where hundreds
of innocent Indian men, women an children were massacred
by British General Michael Dyer on April 13, 1919. A
memoral and Garden have been created here as a national
monument.
Afternoon visit Indo-Pak Border to watch retreat
ceremony-30 KM on the road to Lahore is India-Pakistan
Border. A visit to the border is an interesting experience
especially at Sunset, when the retreat ceremony takes
place with the Border Security Force on the Indian Side
and the Sutlej Rangers on the Pakistan side putting
up a well coordinated and spectacular display. The sound
from the Bugles blown together from both sides paints
past on the canvas when India and Pakistan were one,
simultaneously Flags of the two nations are ceremoniously
retrieved and lights are switched on marking the end
of the day. Amidst thunderous applause today this point
is the only land route open to approach Pakistan and
central Asia.
Return to hotel in the afternoon. Overnight stay.

Early morning transfer to Railway station to board
morning shatabdi train at 0515 hrs. Reach New Delhi.
Transfer to Airport to board your flight for Bhubaneshwar.
Reach Bhubaneshwar. Bhubneshwar- known as Kalinga in
ancient times is the capital of Orissa. At one time,
some 7000 sandstone temples are supposed to have stood
on the site of sacred Bundusagar lake alone. Today almost
500 remain. Most of them were built between 7th and
15th centuries and most of them were destroyed during
the Mughal conquest of 16th century. Transfer to hotel.

4 : Udaigiri - Ratnagiri - Lalitgiri

| After breakfast,
full day city tour covering Budhist Triangle i.e Udaigiri,
Ratnagiri & Lalitgiri. Return to hotel late evening.

Bhubaneshwar- Puri (60 Kms) |
After breakfast
visit the Brahmeshwar temple, built in 11th century;
Rajarani temple;
Mukteshwar temple : one of the most refined temples
in Orissa. Small and compact it is famous for both its
ornate entrance and rich interior carvings;
Parumeshwar temple : built in 12th century and
the
Lingaraj Temple : built in 11th century, this temple
is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Lord Lingaraj (Lord of Universa),
is one of the most notable temples. Evening start for
Puri. Arrive Puri and check in at prebooked hotel. |

| After breakfast,
visit Puri - one of the four Dhams (holiest Hindu pilgrimage
places in India). Visit the Jaganath Temple, which
was built during the 12th century by the Kalinga ruler
Chodaganga Deva, is the tallest and most magnificent monuments
in Orissa. It's pinnacle rises to a formidable height
of 65 m (212 ft). It is divided into four parts : the
main central hall, the hall of audience, the dancing hall
and the hall of offerings, and has four gates. Each of
these has an animal theme : horse (south gate), elephant
(north gate), tiger (west gate) and the lion (east gate).
It is by the Lions gate that the pilgrims make their entrance
and in front of this main gate tands a 16 sided monolithic
pillar called Aruna Stambha. Afternoon, visit Raghurajpiri,
the painting village. Return to hotel. Overnight stay.

Puri-Konark-Bhubaneshwar |
| After early
breakfast start for Bhubneshwar enroute visit the Sun
Temple at Konark. Built by King Narasimhadev in mid
13th century to celebrate his victory over the Muslims.
It is a masterpiece of design and construction; built
in the shape of huge chariot, pulled along by seven racing
horses on 24 intricately carved stone wheels. Continue
your journey upto Bhubneshwar. Reach Bhubneshwar. Overnight
stay. |

| Transfer to Bhubaneshwar Railway
Station /Airport. Board your train / flight from Bbubaneshwar
to Delhi. |
